Join us and #PledgeAPint
In the UK, all gay and bisexual men are not allowed to give blood – unless they abstain from sex for three months. It’s unfair and short sighted.
By introducing an individualised, risk-based approach to assess sexual behaviour, rather than a simplistic process where people are grouped together based on their sexual orientation, we can unlock the thousands of willing donors who would and could donate safely.
To help demonstrate this potential, we’re asking gay or bi men who currently cannot donate blood – but would if they could – to ‘pledge a pint’ & make a commitment to donate blood once the rule has lifted.
So please, pledge a pint today and let us show how much potentially lifesaving blood could be made available. Alternatively, if you’re not a gay or bisexual man, you’re still able to support by sharing our campaign or signing this petition.
